Business Developer UK – Biotech

Our partner is looking for a Business Developer to manage and further develop its client portfolio on the English market.


Function

In this role, you are a key contributor to our partner’s commercial growth strategy. You work both in the field and from the office to manage and develop a client portfolio in UK, combining close customer relationships, active prospecting, and technical product demonstrations.

You will join a human-sized team that values both professionalism and enjoyment at work. If you are motivated by challenges and driven to build long-lasting client relationships, this role is made for you!

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing your client portfolio, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and delivering an outstanding service;
  • Developing new business opportunities through active prospecting (cold calling, video meetings, trade fairs), opening new markets and building trusted relationships;
  • Organising and conducting on-site client meetings and product demonstrations, bringing real added value through the solutions offered
  • Working autonomously and in an organised manner, planning your travel and agenda (50% field-based, 50% office-based) to maximise your impact;
  • Managing the entire sales cycle, from lead identification to deal closing, with accuracy and consistent follow-up;
  • Acting as an ambassador for the company, representing it positively at trade shows and in all client interactions;
  • Collaborating closely with the team, sharing key information and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes;
  • Monitoring your key performance indicators (calls, meetings, demonstrations, revenue) to successfully achieve your objectives.


Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Sales Management, International Business, Communication, Marketing, Translation, or a scientific field), or you can demonstrate equivalent relevant experience;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in B2B sales within a scientific or technical environment;
  • You are fluent in English (minimum C1 level, native speakers welcome) and have a strong professional command of English; French is a plus;
  • You enjoy travelling and are willing to spend approximately 50% of your time on the road in United Kingdom;
  • A true hunter, you thrive on prospecting and developing new clients while building strong, long-term relationships in the field;
  • You have a genuine interest in the technical aspects of products and are able to quickly acquire the necessary scientific knowledge;
  • Curious, persistent, and a strong team player, you are looking for a purpose-driven role where your work has a real impact on health and innovation.
